Murder of Carol Jenkins

Carol Jenkins was an African American woman murdered on September 16, 1968.
==Murder==
In September 1968, 21-year-old Carol Jenkins was working part-time selling Collier’s encyclopedias door-to-door. While on her route, a car carrying two white men began following her. She approached the home of Norma and Don Neal and reported the car. The Neals called police out to the residence, who reported that they were unable to spot the vehicle. Norma Neal offered to let Carol stay at their residence, but Carol turned down the offer saying she'd already put them out enough as it was. Approximately half an hour later, she was stabbed to death with a screwdriver.
The case is unsolved in a court of law.
